Favorite Memory from when in Ukraine or elsewhere:
It was the beginning of a snow storm and I'd missed the last bus between my town & the town where my bank was located. With the flying snow, the only thing on the road in that frozen hour was a hay wagon pulled by two horses almost as old as the babushka & deduska who picked me up. They gladly offerd me a ride & nestled me into the hay with some blankets. I was actually toasty except for the snow drift gathering on my face. They took me to their village & luckily a neighbor was on their way into my town (by Lada). The wonderful suprise was bumping into the couple at a friend's neice's wedding some 4 months later. Such a lovely pair! (I always wish I'd had a photo of me buried in the hay on that snowy day!)
How are you now (or how do you want to be) involved with this Friends of Ukraine group?
Was forced into taking Presidency, but glad some others are trying to "rally the troops" so to speak
If you are/were a PCVolunteer or PCTrainee (or related or friend to one), what is/was your PC Group number in Ukraine or elsewhere?
Always welcome to call on us here in Chicago!

I loooove the story of you snuggled under mounds of hey and going off to the bank in high style! I am doing FoU things today - kind o mad ea vow to spend tiime on this...you KNOW how hard it is - life just seems to get in the way of well, life! Anyway - today I draft some Trident materials - maybe we could use your memory as an article ...start a column on memeories and expeiences...Or, maybe you have an ide of a short article yo could whip out - an opinion or a motivatiol pieve or tell about how the PCV experienc e in Ukraine changed you...or how you think FoU can become more than a social network and become a force for good...
Well, time to getto work ...but first a little more coffee. Learned that in Ukraine - gotta take time to build elationships and to eat!
