And also in Lani's FORUM about 1-4 AUGUST please REPLY now to say what your current plans are, even if not yet definite, regarding your either coming to DC or just phoning us there for the conference call. We need to get the ball rolling now, if we are going to have any chance in getting any from your group to join us in DC or even to take part in the conference-call then. Please share your stories with me - I am putting together a Trident draft today (I am calling my work this my day of service and a way of remembering MLK, Jr's dedication to things...FoU is more than just a social vehicle for me...it can and should be a way for those of us who wish to contiue our work in Ukraine to network our efforts! ....Hmmm...all that on a parenthetical phrae!!!!) Those DVDs could be great promotional "tools" if you put some eferences to Friends of Ukraine (make a placard with the FoU contact info on it and show it at the beginning and end of the video or put a running caption on the video, ...and then put it on You Tube ....it works!)
And yes, we can find a place for thi on the website too!

- I create exchanges, direct and teach in study abroad programs in Ukraine. I have taken 5 student groups abroad so far. I will place 16 students in internship positions throughout Ukraine in summer '08. Currently I am working to develop an accredited ESL Insitute abroad that will offer TESOL certification and an MA in TESOL to Ukrainian teachers of English. this is much cheaper and more practical for them since coming to the USA to study is often unaffordable.
- Favorite Memory from when in Ukraine or elsewhere:
- Too many to say. But perhaps watching my wife get yelled at by old ladies at the train station in Chop. We got tickets and they could not. That was a fun night.
- How are you now (or how do you want to be) involved with this Friends of Ukraine group?
- Already named US-Ukr exchanges coordinator for FofU. I will continue to work with various US universities to create opportunities for their faculty and students to work/study in Ukraine.

New program to take US students to Ukraine next summer!!
Greetings all! It has been awhile since I have been able to post anything and I regret that. However, I am very happy to say that much of the time away was spent wisely in preparing a new service program in Ukraine for next summer.
I will post it here soon for everyone to see.
